Spring Is Here! - 4/10/2011Hooray for warmer weather! The CarriageWorks choir performance went super well last week :) Many thanks to everyone who came along or was involved! CarriageWorks have asked me back to play at their Saturday afternoon session Music For Trees later this month, a non-profit initiative that plants 5 trees for every dollar raised! In other news, my music has been shortlisted for the Pie Jam Competition and is being sent off to Katie Noonan's ears for listening :) I will be recording this weekend with friend and collegue, Paul Buckberry; and have also started writing some new material!- Shall keep you posted xoxCarriageWorks Singer/Songwriter Mentoring Program - 12/09/11Have spent the past 2 months working with 5 other songwriters and our mentor, the awesome Tom Hespe (from The Slowdowns - check it yo!), and have managed to pull together a beautiful program of music! (not to toot my own horn...)A mixture of upbeat and soulful tunes; I'm so excited to perform them with the Sydney Children's Festival Choir! Rehearsals have been sounding beautiful.Pie Jam / Katie Noonan Competition - 16/08/2011Have been selected to play and compete in Pie Face's new music initiative! There will be some splendid tuneful acts gracing a Pie Face store near you! The top 20 acts will have their music passed onto the amazing Katie Noonan, who will then select two artists to fly up to QLD and hang out, discuss music, life, etc...so fingers crossed! Shall keep you posted!Recording & Safe From Harm Video - 12/07/2011Just finished up my recording time at Bondi Pavilion, have some new tracks I'm a tad in love with and am using all the will power I have not to upload them for you to hear right now! Many thanks to the wonderful James Hutchinson & Joshua Bonnefin, who came and played on a few with me :)Am looking into video possibilities for Safe From Harm (which is still being mixed by Sydney's best Truth Be Heard), so the ball will be rolling soon and hopefully we'll have ourselves a video in no time!Radio Play - 02/06/2011The lovely people at FBi radio have been spinning some of my tracks, as well as other regional community radio stations; so if you're keen to hear me through the wireless - text the number 0409 945 945 with Chelsea Gibson & your choice of track and lsiten to 94.5FM!
